In our increasingly secular world, upholding Biblical truths can often feel like swimming against the tide. Yet as followers of Christ, we are called to stand firm and courageously share God’s Word, even when it challenges cultural norms. Here are ten Biblical truths we hold steadfastly:
1) Existence of Absolute Truth: God’s Word is the ultimate truth (John 14:6; John 17:17).
2) Sanctity of Life: Life, from conception to natural death, is valuable and sacred (Psalm 139:13-16).
3) Traditional Marriage: Marriage is a holy covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6).
4) Sexual Purity: We are called to maintain chastity outside of marriage and fidelity within it (Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
5) Exclusive Salvation through Christ: Salvation is granted through faith in Jesus Christ alone (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).
6) Sin and the Need for Redemption: All of us have sinned and are in need of redemption through Christ (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).
7) Submission to Authority: We are taught to respect and submit to authority (Romans 13:1-2; Ephesians 5:22-24, 6:1-3).
8) Self-Denial: We are invited to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him (Matthew 16:24).
9) The Reality of Hell and Judgment: The Bible warns of the consequences of sin, eternal judgment, and the reality of Hell (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 21:8).
10) Biblical Gender Roles: The Bible elucidates complementary roles for men and women (Ephesians 5:22-33; 1 Timothy 2:12-13).
We believe these truths are of utmost importance for a life aligned with God’s will. In a world that often values comfort over truth, we remind ourselves of Ephesians 4:15, “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.” Our hope is in Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life.
